As we walk through comfortable days, it’s so easy to take the ease for granted. In fact, we might not even realize what we’re truly depending on until it’s taken from us.
I gloried in my good health…but my health will fail me. Maybe then I’ll finally remember to glory in God.
I gloried in my success…but that success isn’t guaranteed; not even in Christian ministry. Maybe when it fails me I’ll finally remember to glory in God.
Where is your glory? Where is your pride? What will you do when it fails you?
“Thus says the Lord: ‘Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, 24 but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.'”
