Ingredients
16ozfarfalle pasta
1tbspolive oil
1lbhot Italian sausage (or mild)*¼
2clovesgarlic, minced
¼cupred wine (optional)
1can(14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes
1tspbasil
½tsprosemary
1cupheavy whipping cream
Instructions
Cook the pasta according to package directions.
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add sausage and cook, stirring, until browned.
Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring.
Add the wine, diced tomatoes, basil, and rosemary. Heat and stir. If you have time, you can let this simmer for 5-10 minutes. If not, move on to the next step.
Add cream and stir.
Add the sauce to the drained pasta. Top with parmesan for serving.
Notes
*Using hot Italian sausage makes a spicy dish. For mild, use mild Italian sausage. For medium, use mild Italian sausage and add 1/4-1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes.
