Preheat the oven to 350°.
In a large bowl, stir together the butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, and stir.
Add flour, cocoa, cinnamon, instant coffee, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
Bake in a greased 9x13 pan for 30-35 minutes. Or for thicker brownies, back in a 8- or 9-inch square pan for 50-53 minutes. Cool, and then soft powdered sugar over the top, if desired. (Makes 12 brownies.)
